Manchester 1937 - John and Isaac Miller set themselves the task of designing outerwear that was stylish and protected from the British weather. With this basic idea, the brothers discovered a major deficit in golf. Bulky clothing hindered players and robbed them of the freedom of movement they needed in wind and weather. The world's most classic and well-known jacket was born: The Harrington Jacket. Beyond sport, it has established itself in everyday wardrobes since the 1950s and has become part of the "uniform" of British subcultures such as mods and skinheads. Appearances in Hollywood films and stylish wearers such as Steve McQueen and Frank Sinatra helped it achieve the cult status it deserves.
