A-2 Flight Jacket Black

This Flight Jacket by DOUBLE HELIX is an authentic reproduction of the Type A-2 Rough Wear 23380, the third of a total of five jackets manufactured by the respected Rough Wear company for the US Air Force. The A-2, developed in the 1940s, combines functionality with timeless style and is a symbol of the pioneering spirit of aviation.

The authentic version of DOUBLE HELIX is made from high-quality horse leather and impressively shows the craftsmanship of the Japanese label. The "tea core" dyeing, a traditional vegetable process, does not allow the color to fully penetrate the leather and gives it a very special, lively patina that gains even more character over time.

Every detail, from the buffalo horn buttons to the 100% wool cuffs to the lining, has been carefully recreated from the original.
