The B-15 flight jacket, introduced in 1944, was no longer made of leather but of fabric, unlike its predecessors, as the demand for lighter jackets for pilots increased. It was gradually adapted and improved. The "Type B-15C" model was introduced as the successor to the B-15B and is the first nylon model in the B-15 series. After World War II, the introduction of jet aircraft required some changes that also affected the flight jackets. One important change was the introduction of the hard helmet to protect the pilot's head from the vibrations of the aircraft, but the larger headgear was no longer compatible with the large collar. To solve this problem, the B-15 series was produced in a "Modified" (MOD) version with a modified collar. In this modification, the Mouton collar was removed and replaced with a wool rib collar.
