The M-65 was first issued to U.S. Army soldiers in 1965. Defined by film appearances by Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver and Götz George as Schimanski, the M-65 Field Jacket became an integral part of pop and youth culture and is now considered one of the most important garments in men's fashion history.
The "Coat, Man's, Field, M-65 / Early Model" is the first version of the legendary M-65, recognizable by its missing shoulder boards. It was produced for only one year and is therefore a rare collector's item.
The Real McCoy's took on the challenge of reinterpreting this icon, and they accomplished it with remarkable precision. All functional details, such as the four cargo pockets and the adjustable drawstring at the hem and waist, were authentically reproduced down to the smallest detail without compromise.
The utmost care was also taken in the selection of materials. Fabric quality, zippers, buttons – every single element was specially developed by TRMC to ensure the greatest possible authenticity.
