M-65 Field Coat Mitchell Pattern

The M-65 was first issued to soldiers of the US Army in 1965. The style has been shaped by film appearances by Robert Deniro in Taxi Driver or by Götz George as Schimanski, and the M-65 field jacket has become a companion of pop and youth culture and is perhaps one of the most important items of clothing in the history of men's fashion.

The Real McCoy's have dared to reproduce the icon and they have more than succeeded. Functional details such as the four cargo pockets, epaulettes and adjustable drawstring at the hem and waist are authentically reproduced down to the smallest detail without compromise. The choice of materials was no less meticulous. Fabric quality, zippers, buttons and every other element (without exception) was specially developed by TRMC to ensure complete authenticity.

This version comes in a Mitchell Camo pattern that was tested between 1948 and 1953 alongside a number of other camouflage patterns and proved particularly effective. It was named after its designer, the artist and former Marine Meldon Mitchell.
