The Real McCoy's Photographer Utility Jacket is an exact replica of the 1960s French Multipoche jacket, which was originally inspired by European hunting jackets. The fabric - a tough military-grade cotton-nylon mix - was developed for extreme conditions and is also found in US military jackets. It's the exact material known for its durability.
The jacket features numerous pockets, elasticated hems, snap cuffs and a stand-up collar with a hidden hood. The square Vislon zip and square coil zips on the pockets provide additional functionality and a striking detail in the design.
In 1982, Andy Warhol wore this jacket on his trip to China. Together with filmmaker John Alper, he shot the documentary Andy Warhol: Made in China . The film provides a unique insight into Warhol's experiences as a tourist in a completely new, politically and culturally alien world - a trip that left an unmistakable mark on both his art and the history of this time.
