The forgotten Bauhaus stool is back! After more than 70 years, the classic among ROWAC products has been reissued and does justice to its predecessor in every respect: Made in the Ore Mountains, riveted in the traditional way, from robust steel and PEFC-certified wood.
In 1909, Rowac launched the Model I, the world's first seat made of riveted lightweight steel. Many factories and schools chose the so-called "Rowac stool". In the 1920s, the piece of furniture became so popular that architects chose it for their designs, including Walter Gropius, who used the Rowac stool for his new Bauhaus building in Dessau. Over time, it was used in all Bauhaus classrooms and workshops in Weimar, Dessau and Berlin.
