The magazine "Mu" was founded in 1979 and deals with occult and paranormal phenomena.
Noriyoshi Ohrai was responsible for the magazine's cover images from the first to the fourth issue. This Hawaiian shirt adorns the cover of the first issue of "Mu".

Noriyoshi Ohrai was born in 1935 in Akashi City in Hyogo Prefecture. After studying at the Tokyo University of the Arts, he began working as an illustrator in 1962. His Star Wars illustration for a magazine impressed director George Lucas so much that he commissioned Ohrai to design the international film poster for "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back".
