The "USN M-43 Deck Jacket" by THE REAL McCOY'S is based on a carefully revised version of the Deck Zip Jacket developed for the US Navy in the 1940s.

Instead of zippers that rust when wet and are difficult to operate with gloves, practical hooks were used to ensure a reliable closure.

The material consists of an extremely tightly woven cotton cord cloth that effectively protects against moisture, wind and weather. It is complemented by a heavy wool lining and a rayon insert, which provide additional insulation and warmth.
