The "BR15193 Liner, Extreme Cold Weather, Parka" by Buzz Rickson's can be worn both in combination with the M-65 Parka for warmth, or on its own as a light jacket. The quilted liner served as a facilitating advance for soldiers: It is insulating and warming, yet significantly lighter than the original lining made of alpaca or wool. Originally made in olive, the black version of the liner comes from the Buzz Rickson's x William Gibson collection. The idea for an all-black collection came from a fictional black MA-1 jacket by Buzz Rickson's, which the science fiction author designed for his protagonist in his book "Pattern Recognition". Buzz Rickson's brought the unprecedented jacket to life and laid the foundation for the unique "Type Black" militaria cooperation.
